Description

Bonnielin Swenor, director of the Johns Hopkins Disability Health Research Center, will present the Equal Access in Science and Medicine committee's Fall 2021 lecture.

Swenor, who is also an associate professor of ophthalmology at the Wilmer Eye Institute and an associate professor of epidemiology at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, will discuss how her experience with a visual disability have shaped her personal life and career and her work to include more people with disabilities in STEM.

The Equal Access in Science and Medicine lecture series was established to feature the perspectives of scientists and clinicians with mental health conditions, disabilities, and chronic illnesses. The lecture will be followed by Q&A. Live captioning (CART) will be provided. For other disability-related accommodations, please contact npannul1@jhmi.edu.
