Description

With young adults, especially college athletes, the statistics are alarming: 33% of all college students experience significant symptoms of depression, anxiety, or other mental health conditions. Among that group, 30% seek help. But of college athletes with mental health conditions, only 10% do. Among professional athletes, studies show that as many as 35% of athletes experience a mental health crisis. These crises can manifest as stress, eating disorders, burnout, or depression and anxiety.

Join NAMI Metro Baltimore, and a panel of elite athletes, for an in-depth discussion about their personal journeys juggling training, performance, and mental health. Guests are encouraged to engage with our panelists; questions are welcome.

This I Will Listen event is made possible by the generosity of the Matt Golczewski Memorial Fund.
