April Awareness Speaker: Jamie Grace Alexander

The Diverse Sexuality and Gender Alliance and the Office of LGBTQ Life are excited to host a talk by artist and activist Jamie Grace Alexander discussing student LGBTQ activism and doing activism through art.
Alexander's activism work includes previously serving as the community director of the Baltimore Transgender Alliance, and she is currently working as a legislative outreach coordinator at the ACLU Maryland to ban the LGBTQ panic defense in Maryland. Recent art projects of theirs include the "Black Trans Lives Matter" mural on the 2200 and 2300 blocks of Charles Street and a newsletter documenting Baltimore queer history.
