Building a Data and Analytics Organization in a "Startup" Government Agency
Description
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) aims to make consumer financial markets work for consumers, responsible providers, and the economy as a whole. CFPB protects consumers from unfair, deceptive, or abusive practices and takes action against companies that break the law. The agency arms people with the information, steps, and tools that they need to make smart financial decisions.
In this Government Analytics Breakfast webinar, Shannon Files, the director of enterprise data services for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, will discuss how CFPB built out its data organization and ecosystem as a "startup" agency that came into being when the data space in industry and government was first coming into focus. The Government Analytics Breakfast (GAB) Forum is held in partnership with Johns Hopkins University's Program in Data Analytics and Policy and REI Systems.
