Together, guided by the National Museum of African American History and Culture's Family History Center, the SAIS Diversity Council and SAIS Women Lead will explore The Pioneering Pauli Murray's experience as a Black woman in the public policy space, Pauli Murray as an LGBTQ+ historical figure, and the racial and social dynamics of the 19th century Black family in her book Proud Shoes: The Story of an American Family.
