Civic Sessions: Politics of Baltimore from a Structural Perspective
Description
Baltimore is a city of neighborhoods, each community with historical and powerful structures that shape it. Electing officials to leadership roles is a first step citizens can take to enact the change they want to see in their community. Next, residents must understand official roles in the civic process and the system itself. Using Baltimore City's political structures as a case study, this session will analyze the relationship between elected officials' roles and the change we wish to see in our local communities.
This event is sponsored by the Center for Social Concern.
