Description

Alexis Hammond, MD, PhD, an associate medical director at the Center for Addiction and Pregnancy/Addiction Treatment Services, will lead an engaging panel discussion on the effect of mental health in the African American community. Hammond is also an assistant professor in the Behavioral Pharmacology Research Unit, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

The purpose of this event is to facilitate discussion and share resources around the stigmatization of mental health and the many cultural, societal, and stereotypical pressures that influence beliefs about mental health in the Black community. This event is in recognition of Black History Month hosted by Johns Hopkins' Black Faculty & Staff Association.

Please attend the event by using the Zoom link (Meeting ID: 410 637 4364 | Dial: +1-646-558-8656 or +1-720-707-2699).
