Description

Evergreen Museum & Library hosts storyteller and magician David London for an interactive exploration of some of the many mysteries, personalities, and technologies that captured the imagination of the world at the end of the 19th century.

With a particular focus on magic, Spiritualism, and early optical devices, participants will experience and learn about the Victorian fascination with new ways of seeing and interacting with previously unseen and unknown worlds. This program will take place online, with London guiding participants through hands-on demonstrations using common household objects. Participants will come away with a better understanding of Victorian attitudes toward the occult and an appreciation for the magic to be found in everyday life.

This program contains adult themes. It is best suited for those ages 13 and up.
