Description

Engineers Week, the annual celebration of engineers' contributions to society and the world, will be hosted by the Whiting School of Engineering. Events range from a hackathon and a talk by a Nobel-Prize winning NASA astrophysicist to networking opportunities.

The week kicks off on Friday, Feb. 16 with HopHacks, the annual Johns Hopkins "hacking" marathon in which students are challenged to develop a new tech solution or product within 36 hours.

E-Week's signature event, Theta Tau's Tower of Power, is set for 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20 in the Glass Pavilion. Teams of faculty, students, and staff compete to build the largest tower out of dry pasta and marshmallows and enjoy free pizza after. Teams must register.

A complete list the week's events is available online.
