This one-day CME/CEU conference includes an evidence-based and highly relevant series of talks and workshops for practitioners who deliver care to patients with, or at risk for, eating disorders. Topics covered will include the prevention of disordered eating and weight control behaviors, suicide and self-injury in patients with eating disorders, assessing where and when to refer patients to intensive treatment programs, and neural and behavioral influences on body weight. Workshops will provide practical clinical skills in managing psychiatric and medical emergencies and abnormal illness behavior in patients with eating disorders and in the implementation of meal-based and cognitive behavioral interventions.
