Fall Fest—JHU's annual staff appreciation event—drew nearly 3,000 members of the Johns Hopkins community to the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore on Sunday.

Staff members and their families and friends spent the day getting up close with the animals, lunching on a spread of fall foods from Classic Catering, having faces painted, and enjoying ice cream from Miss Twist and music from DJ Kopec.

Fall Fest coincided with the venue's Zoo Boo, so JHU attendees also got to enjoy the event's bounce house, hay maze, scarecrow making, trick or treating, touch a truck, and more.

The university's HR leaders, including Meredith Stewart, interim vice president for human resources and executive director of Total Rewards, were on hand to show their appreciation of employees' commitment and dedication to Johns Hopkins.

The entire event was waste neutral.
