Launching Your Canvas Course—Fall 2024 edition
This working session will review our Canvas Semester Checklist to ensure your course is ready for the semester and highlight new Canvas features! Training runs for 40 minutes, with an additional 20 minutes for questions if needed.
Assignments and Gradebook
Need help ensuring your gradebook is configured correctly? Do you want to use weighted assignment groups to calculate your final grade? Do you know how to set your grade scheme? This session provides tips and tricks for configuring your assignments, grade scheme, weighted assignment groups, and gradebook. We will also review how to use SpeedGrader to provide students with feedback. Training runs for 45 minutes, with an additional 15 minutes for questions if needed.
What's New in Canvas?
Did you know that Canvas released several new features over the summer? This 30-minute session will showcase updates to SpeedGrader, Assignments, and Modules, as well as provide you with a toolkit of formatting options to spruce up your course. Join us for a quick demonstration to learn more!
Getting Started With Gradescope
Interested in using Gradescope in your course? Need help getting Gradescope configured and ready for the semester? Or have you been using Gradescope but didn't realize you can link the assignments to Canvas? Join this one-hour session to learn more about the tool and ensure you are set up and ready to go for fall 2024!
