BARCS animal shelter donation drive

The Johns Hopkins Institute for NanoBioTechnology is accepting donations for BARCS, a nonprofit animal shelter and pet adoption center in Baltimore.

BARCS is an open admission shelter, granting refuge to every abandoned, neglected, abused, lost, or surrendered animal that comes through its doors. No matter the circumstance, they do not turn away an animal in need of shelter, food, medical care, and a loving touch. Yearly, this equates to 11,000-12,000 dogs, cats, kittens, puppies, and even wildlife and exotic animals that need care and placement.

Please only purchase items from the BARCS wish list. Among the items on the list are Kongs, Nylabones, dog/puppy food, cat/kitten food, featherwand toys, kitten nursing bottles, churu cat treats, smooth peanut butter, new towels and blankets, latex and nonlatex gloves, triple antibiotic ointment or cream, gauze, baby wipes, paper towels, permanent markers, and more!

Drop off donations at the institute's business office, Shaffer Hall 103, Homewood campus, or contact Gina Wadas at ginawadas@jhu.edu to arrange a pickup.
