Participants wanted for brain research study on perception and memory

The Chen Lab at Johns Hopkins University is seeking healthy volunteers for an fMRI (brain imaging) research study on perception and memory. The study takes place at Kennedy Krieger Institute (707 N Broadway) in Baltimore. In this study, participants watch movies, talk about their memories and thoughts, and complete surveys. Compensation is $30/hour; typically the total pay for the study is $60-75. We provide a high-resolution image of your brain if desired.

To be eligible to participate you must:

  • be 18-45 years old
  • be a native English speaker
  • be right-handed
  • have no history of neurological or psychiatric disorders
  • have no metal in your body (including permanent retainers or other dental wiring)
  • have normal or corrected-to-normal vision
  • have no hearing problems

Prior to taking part in the study you will be asked to complete a 15-minute pre-screening interview over the phone, email, or Zoom to ensure that you qualify.
