Johns Hopkins School of Nursing video nails the #MannequinChallenge

Video: Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing

We've heard of nursing manikins, but nursing mannequins?

A new video featuring students and faculty from the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing captures moments frozen in time in the lives of nursing students, part of the "mannequin challenge" craze currently sweeping social media.

For the "mannequin challenge"—a trend believed to have begun in mid-October—participants freeze in place while a camera zooms around capturing the scene. In the SON version, time stops during a nursing simulation, in the classroom, and during a busy night in the emergency room where student actors deliver babies, load syringes, and take vital signs.

The video reached nearly 100,000 people on Facebook and was viewed 38,000 times in its first day.
