Fall color: Johns Hopkins Color Run raises money for Children's Center

A group of runners dashed, danced, and sprinted their way around the Homewood campus over the weekend as brightly colored powder was launched into the air, splattering their white T-shirts with blasts of color.

The Color Run, branded as the happiest 5K on the planet, benefits the Johns Hopkins Children's Center. The event was co-sponsored by Hopkins Organization for Programming and Dance Marathon in advance of that group's upcoming all-night dance fundraiser Nov. 7. This year's fundraising goal is $30,000; the theme will be Candy Land: Let's Make Life Sweeter FTK (For the Kids). To register or donate, click here.

Dance Marathon's Executive Board, Kappa Kappa Gamma, and Baila were among the top fundraising student groups for the Color Run, which raised about $300 to benefit the Children's Center.
