A storm system dropped a couple inches of snow on Johns Hopkins' Homewood campus and across the region on Tuesday morning, the first snowfall of the new year.

The powdery dusting wasn't quite enough for sledding, but it did make for some pretty pictures.

The university's opening was delayed until noon due to the inclement weather.
